Purpose of this blog

Welcome! When I moved to Green Bay in 2000, I didn't know much about this city except that my favorite team, the Packers, played here. I found out that there is a lot more to this town besides the Packers, and so I'm focusing this blog on the often-overlooked and underappreciated aspects of the city. There are also some things I'd like to see changed in my adopted home town. I think we can learn a lot from past mistakes as we look ahead to the future of this community.
This blog is mostly light reading, but I do occasionally write "pillar articles" which are more subtantial and often critical in a constructive sort of way. Comments are encouraged on all articles. Let me know if you think I'm on the right track or just batshit crazy.
I hope you enjoy my blog and my community.
P.S. It seems just about everything around here is named "Packerland This" and "Packerland That"...So why not a blog, too?

Proportion, scale, form have timeless design, not to be confused with "style" and "taste"
